Visit Egeskov – Fun, games and exhibitions – in December and soak up the Christmas ambience. Admire the Princess’s Christmas dinner table, and send your children off on an elf hunt along atmospheric checkpoints in the gardens.
Fun, games and exhibitions
There is plenty to see and do at Egeskov in December. Children can burn off some energy in the giant playground, and the whole family can go exploring in the 12,000 sqm exhibition area, which comprises the Classics Museum, the Camping Outdoor Museum and the Falck Museum.
The Princess’s Christmas Table
Princess Alexandra zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg has decorated the grand dining table for the upcoming Christmas season at the castle. You can see the wonderful table on display in Café Rigborg. The table decorations are inspired by nature and the world of fairy tales, featuring elements such as Christmas roses, pine cones, woodland creatures and plenty of candles.
The café doors are open
A welcoming fire burns brightly in the café fireplace – the perfect setting to enjoy everything from hot chocolate to mulled wine and æbleskiver cakes. And if you are a little hungrier, you can choose between a variety of light Christmas dishes.
Closed 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January.
Some areas of the playground are closed during certain periods of the winter for reasons of safety.
There is no admission to the gardens and castle during the winter season.
