Drop by Egeskov Christmas fairs, which is one of the biggest castle Christmas markets in Denmark and famous for its ambience. Browse 110 different stalls and draw inspiration from everything from arts & crafts and applied art to local specialities and Christmas decorations that make wonderful gifts add sparkle to your Christmas. You will find goods from famous manufacturers, as well as private artists selling their one-of-a-kind products.
The Christmas market is held in the exhibition buildings that house the vintage vehicles and aircraft, as well as outdoors in the gardens. Egeskov looks wonderful when decorated indoors and out, and the surroundings simply radiate catchy Christmas spirit.
We want visitors to enjoy the pleasant setting, and we insist on ensuring there’s time and space to take a break for some tasty refreshments. So settle down at a table in Spisetorvet square, for example, or snuggle up by the fireplace in Café Jomfru Rigborg, which serves food and beverages, mulled wine, æbleskiver cakes and more besides.
And, of course, there is a Christmas choir singing cheerful carols, as well as the castle elves Gorm, Thyra and Harald Blålys. There are all kinds of attractions for children, too.
While most of the exhibitions at Egeskov are closed for the winter, you can still take a walk in the park and visit the Play Forest with its playground and the large maze. (Tree Top Walking is closed in the winter for reasons of safety).
