On the weekend of 5–6 December, you can experience Egeskov Christmas Market. One of Denmark’s largest Christmas markets in Denmark, it offers plenty of stalls, activities and festive atmosphere. The Christmas market takes place over five weekends, starting on 7 November.

When you visit “Egeskov – Play and Exhibitions” from 19–30 December, you can enjoy the Christmas decorations both indoors and outdoors. The gardeners have created festive displays outside, and after dark, you can enjoy the Christmas lights. Stop by Brasserie Rigborg to warm up and enjoy something delicious.

Set off on a festive treasure hunt and help “the confused elf”. The trail takes you through the garden into the world of the Christmas elves. Pick up your treasure map at the entrance.

The gallery exhibits works by Count Michael Ahlefeldt, who is a practicing artist specializing in light art drawings and paintings. There are also periodic guest exhibitions from Galleri Poulsen. The gallery is located in the centre of the garden, in a small building that was home to the castle gardener for centuries.

A time when people shopped locally and when you could buy everyday essentials on almost any street corner in Denmark. You can explore original packaging from all kinds of products from the 1930s - 1950s.
