    Beautiful lights at Egeskov

    LUMINIS is a sensuous artistic light experience taking place along a route through various garden spaces at Egeskov. It is held during the winter school holidays, where visitors to the garden embark on a walk of approximately 2 km in the winter darkness. Along the way, one encounters beautiful light and sound installations by a wide range of international artists. With LUMINIS, we wish to offer a cultural event that provides visitors to the garden with a beautiful and distinctive shared experience, supported by the history, architecture and garden setting of Egeskov. LUMINIS is created in close collaboration with the Dutch Robbert ten Caten from Lumen In Art, the creator of the “Light Castle Festivals” that take place at castles throughout Europe.     1. Practical information

      The walk is approximately 2 km. Remember suitable footwear. The route follows established paths in the garden, but there may be uneven surfaces and hilly terrain along the way. There are also areas where it may be dark despite the illuminated route. Dogs are not permitted at LUMINIS. Handcarts cannot be rented during LUMINIS.

    2. Food and drinks

      It is possible to purchase high-quality fast food as well as other hot beverages at the dining square, where they can be enjoyed in illuminated outdoor dining areas. You may also enjoy a meal indoors in the cosy surroundings of Brasserie Rigborg.

      With an Egeskov Annual Pass, you get free admission to LUMINIS. Your annual pass also gives you discounts on day tickets to a range of Danish attractions.

    Brasserie Rigborg offers a 2- or 3-course menu for LUMINIS, which can be enjoyed along the route through the garden. Table reservation is recommended.
