    Practical information

    Address: Egeskov Gade 22, 5772 Kværndrup By Car: From Jutland: Take motorway E20 towards Odense. At the Odense interchange, follow Route 9 Svendborg. Exit at junction 14 for Kværndrup and follow signs to Egeskov. From Zealand: Take motorway E20 towards Odense. At the Odense interchange, follow Route 9 Svendborg. Exit at junction 14 for Kværndrup and follow signs to Egeskov. From Fåborg: Take A8 towards Nyborg. By Train/Bus: From Odense or Svendborg: Take a train to Kværndrup. From there, either take bus 920 or walk 2.5 km along a busy main road (Bøjdenvej). From Nyborg or Fåborg: Take bus 920, which stops directly at Egeskov’s entrance.

    You can buy tickets online or at the ticket office. If you purchased your annual pass online and this is your first visit to Egeskov, please stop by the ticket office before heading home. We need to take your photo and exchange your ticket for a personalized annual pass. After this, you can skip the ticket line on future visits and go straight to the entrance scanner. If you plan to leave the park and return the same day, remember to get a re-entry wristband from the ticket office staff before you exit.

    At Egeskov, companion cards are accepted. As a holder of a companion card from DH, simply notify the ticket office staff upon arrival.

    Over 1,400 free parking spaces for cars, buses, and motorcycles. Vintage car parking is available near the entrance as VIP parking. Egeskov’s parking lot includes eight Clever charging stations with 16 charging plugs. Bicycle parking, including free e-bike charging, is available near the ticket office. Toilets are located in the red building in the entrance area.

    At the entry-shop you can rent wagons, wheelchairs and electric scooters. Wagons: Rent for 60 DKK per day at the entrance shop (deposit: 160 DKK; 100 DKK refunded upon return). Note: Wagons may not be available during busy days and are not rented out during the Egeskov Christmas Market or LUMINIS. Wheelchairs/Electric Scooters: Wheelchairs are free to borrow; electric scooters cost 70 DKK/day. Reservations can be made at the ticket office during opening hours at +45 6227 1625.

    Enjoy meals at Brasserie Rigborg or one of the kiosks. Alternatively, bring your own food and use picnic areas throughout the park, including tables and benches near the playground or the covered area by the Mooncar track. If you leave the park to fetch your picnic from your car, remember to get a re-entry stamp from the ticket office.

    The castle is closed during the winter. See when the castle opens under opening hours.

    If you lose something at Egeskov, contact us at +45 6227 1016 or via email at info@egeskov.dk. Items unclaimed by the end of each month will be donated to the local thrift store in Kværndrup. Valuable or personal items will be handed over to the lost property office in Odense.

    Book guided tours of the castle, gardens, or exhibitions directly with external services such as Guideservice Danmark or Odense-Tour-Guides. Maximum recommended group size per guide: 25 people.     Microwaves for warming baby bottles and food are available at the Labyrinth Kiosk and Museum Kiosk.

    It is not permitted to bring: Grills, tables, gazebos, tents, bicycles, Segways, or electric scooters into the park

    Dogs on a leash are welcome in the park but not inside the castle or museums. Service dogs are allowed in exhibitions but not in the castle. Dog waste bags are appreciated, and drinking water is available at the Labyrinth Kiosk. Dogs are not permitted during LUMINIS in February.

    At Egeskov there are several oppertunities to buy souvenirs and other exciting things. Castle Shop: Souvenirs and gifts available near the castle square. Plant Sales: Located near the ticket office, offering plants, herbs, and garden items.

    Motorhomes can stay overnight for one night during the open season in the designated area of row 6 in the parking lot. Fee: 80 DKK per night (5:00 PM–10:00 AM), payable at the ticket office or online.
