Nonni's Room
Nonni's Room
The North Tower Room is named and dedicated to Countess Nonni Ahlefeldt Laurvig Bille, who, together with Count Gregers, ran Egeskov for several decades. They lived in the castle until their deaths in 1985, and the current tower room is furnished in the spirit of the countess. The furniture and style reflect her taste and preferred inventory at the castle. Also note the fine niches by the windows, painted in a trompe-l’oeil style to create the illusion of applied stucco on the wall.
