The English Garden
9 The English Garden
This landscaped garden room, with its large lawns and freestanding trees, is a favoured oasis for picnics and relaxation during your walk through the gardens. The garden was laid out in the late 19th century by landscape gardener H.A. Flint as a deer park in English style, featuring expansive lawns and solitary trees such as cut-leaf beech, weeping beech, giant plane tree, gunnera and yew.
