The Rose Garden
17 The Rose Garden
The Rose Garden is based on the shape of a Maltese cross, where more than 100 different varieties of roses can be experienced. The beds are formed in rings bordered by edging bands and low boxwood hedges. Each bed is dedicated to a single type of rose. It is an extensive selection of roses, and you can experience climbing roses, historic roses, large-flowered roses, English roses, Danish-grown roses, small-flowered roses and ground-cover roses, among others. The roses bloom from mid-June and reach their peak in incomparable beauty the following month. The garden was established in 2004 based on the idea and design of head gardener Peter Bonde Poulsen.
