Egeskov Castle is built on oak piles driven into the bed og the lake. It is said that a whole forest was felled to provide timber for the foundations.

In the castle loft lies a small wooden figure. According to legend, the castle will subside into the moat on Christmas Night if it is moved.

Egeskov's present owner, Michael Ahlefeldt, has had a suit of armour made. It is an exat replica of the armour worn by his ancestor Frands Brockenhuus

There are fantastic views of the gardens from the castle windows.

This was Count Gregers Ahlefeldt's study and it reflects his passion for hunting.

This room is furnished with Louis XVl furniture, given to Jessy Bille Brahe and Julius Ahlefeldt Laurvig as a wedding present in 1875
